#TBT Our first gig!

True story!!

The very first order I ever did before The Vulgar Vegan was official was for a wedding. I baked more than 100 O.G. cupcakes, maybe even close to 200, topped with a coconut cream frosting. Each cupcake had hand-painted metallic copper designs on the frosting. I don’t even know how many hours I spent in the kitchen baking and frosting cupcakes but I know it was A LOT!

Fact - I was so worried the frosting was going to melt. The cupcakes not only served as the wedding cake but they were actually part of the decor and were the centerpieces on each table. Not sure how many wedding guests had vegan cupcakes before the main course but I’m guessing that quite a few put dessert before dinner!

And I did mention this was our first gig, right? Well, I was so nervous about baking so many cupcakes for such an important event that I pretty spaced out on taking many quality photos. Just look at how fierce I looked trying to make sure nobody was going to f*ck up those cupcakes for the bride and groom!! Sigh! Word has it that one year later, those cupcakes still tasted pretty mother f*cking good after they survived all those months in the freezer.

Now that’s a goddamn good vegan cupcake!
